Well in keeping with my policy of only posting when I might have something to post..

Recap of the last 4 months..

Our raid core tells me they are going to a reborn MK under the tag of which was cool at the time...I went with them..friendly and familiar faces..some not quite so friendly but..fresh start for everyone.

I will also state that I am not going to trash anyone here today..yes thats strange:P

We raided for 4 months with Limitless..but the same problems came back.

Why do people need to be dirtbags to people?

Anyway..

The Drama..

Two of the officers in the guild decided we needed a new GM..really?

Farming 25 toc plus 4 10m tocs and 2 togc 10's going each week and we need a new gm?

And I forgot..kick all the socials and people these two didnt like.

Umm no way.

So we decided..

Take our toys and go to a new home..7 of us transfered to a new server..then went horde!

Shoulda done it months ago!

Friends..Raiding..both do not seem to mix all that well..

Monday we went to 25 uld for the first 2 bosses..ok..so we ended up killing FL hardmode..then wiped for a while on XT (which we 1 shot the week before).

So we decided to go finish up Naxx 25..we only had Gluth, Thad and Saph and KT left..

well 3 outta 4 aint bad...wipe on KT much? just a little:(

We couldnt figure out why our mele was just blowing up...after the raid we figured it was because a DK kept dropping DnD on the boss..hiding the red circles of death.

After the raid..

The psts started from the core..

They are tired of the bad raids..

One idea was take the core and merge with Honnors guild and run 10's..i like the idea but why would a 10 man guild take in 20 people lol

The other idea was..

A new guild..running 10 mans only..

Cue the Eric Clapton music..

Good day eveyone..if there is anyone left reading this lol

3 months after the start of SalVation we have grown in to a full fledge raiding raid guild, we have 3 Ulduar 10 grps and a 25 Naxx team..we are about to make the jump to 25 Uld.

The grp as a whole from new members to our vets are very chill..which is great.
The officer core has grown, we have set out some good rules for our members..which we have applied fairly..an example..

If you start a raid with us..you are to stay unless something rl comes up.
We have had 3 times now where people have "had to leave" and then showed up a short time later in arenas or in a pug raid..

When that has happened..it is discussed and the result is usually a gkick.

I am in 2 10 man Ulduar grps..1 tanking 1 dps..Raist is in the progression grp and we are working on mim atm..Lee is in the 2nd grp and we are working on the watchers finally.

I plan to update my blog more ofton now..lol

Last night the Red heads headed in to 25 man naxx with Daywins guild..


It went fantastic!

1 shot every boss in two wings..only wiped on patchwork and finished the night on Grob..man I hate that boss:P

We took first time naxx peeps..people in blues..healers wearing the wrong class of gear and a few who have never seen a raid before let alone end game (not that naxx is real hard lol)

It was a bit of a home coming if you will..names and voices that I had not ran with in over a year filled the screen and in vent.

It was fun!

Loot was not put to waste..it was free roll and only 2 items were d/e'd

Greens were split between the two guilds..any shards were shared.

It was a very very good night..cant wait for Sunday!

Uldar and more drama

The info about the raid is out..another 14 bosses and not all og them will hit the ptr..that last part is sweet..lets see how fast the uber raiders that bemoaned wotlk as too easy do when they cant test it 24/7 like the rest of us lol

I was informed last night that people read my blog and used it as a reason to gquit mk..see the mature comment from the changes blog....really? you didnt like my wall o text?

it crit you that hard?

All I can say about that is this..

You brought mk to its knees and then you moved on to another guild..priceless

The funny part is that I have been told that if those that left to avoid the drama that was going on return to mk that you and yours would go back too..so you could see everyone leave again?

I have not gone back to MK as of yet..not sure if I will at this point..but what I do know is that it matters not to me what g tag is under their names.

Cha Cha Changes....

So it has been a very very long time since I last posted anything..litch is out..I have 2 80's and have cleared every heroic raid except Mayglos..but all has not been well on ole AOS

It started back in December when everyone was trying to get to 80..I took my time with my leveling partner to get to 80..learning new talents and such..and that was after deciding what toon to level first..

Guild drama is never a good thing..but it raised its ugly head again as we drew deeper in to litch king..lack of help..people sticking to their grps..those of us that took our time leveling had to "pug" tanks and heals for instances while the guys that raced to 80 ran heroics and got geared up for naxx..

When I finally hit 80 I noticed just how bad the split in the guild was..as dps with my healer friend we could not find a grp to save our lives..while the other grp of 80's were running with 2 warriors and a dk in the grp..so 3 tanking toons saved to 1 grp..see the problem? they couldnt.

When we started running 25 man naxx when we had enough 80's in the guild those first grp of 80's were hard after the gm to use a loot system of their choice..in BC you could get mkp by donations/gold/mats not so in Wotlk...which say what you will was directed right at my circle of friends..we kept the guild in pots/flasks and mats ..farmed our butts off to ensure we could raid in BC..but the other grp whined because they figured it was an unfair advantadge in the new content so it was nerfed..so we stopped farming for the guild..showed for every raid and just were guildies for the most part.

About a month ago the real drama started when the guilds MT wanted officership back..he was one pre litch but he gquit the night before the major nerf patch to start his own guild for wotlk..then came back when we were back raiding prior to litch arriving...Myself and few of the other officers objected to him being reinstated to ochat due to him leaving...but not only the leaving part but the fact that he tried to take our entire core raiding team with him..that was a slap in the face..after much fighting in ochat about it and me being passed over for the GM role of MK (which btw still do not understand how that happened..not that the new GM was a bad choice..just passing it to someone who only logged on to raid 3 days a week made no sense) he was made "raid leader" the only person with that rank..he had ochat and was handed the reins of our progression..

He and his grp felt as if they had been slapped in the face...which they showed by dropping trains during boss tactics being discussed in vent..very mature
I was tasked with keeping him inline (as a favor to the old gm) which I said I would try..but the first argument with him in ochat he quit the guild..like wtf..and he called me hard to deal with..I called the gm and said wtf..get on and fix it.

As I got my 2nd toon to 80..my tank ..things went down hill fast..

We could not get anyone from naxx grp 1 to run with us this past week..when one of the best geared healers said he would help us they called him a traitor..he ended up not going:(

This week there was no 25 set to my knowledge so we set our 10 man grp for Thursday so we could finally clear it on our alts..thats when the fun really started lol

I log on to find out that not only was there a 25 man..but that people were super upset that we would have the balls to run against a 25 man on the same night..now the person they took their anger out on was my good friend..that pissed me off greatly..but once on I did not get the same treatment...

Why did I end up leaving MK?

The straw that did it for me was a comment from someone I thought was my friend in mk..a fellow officer..someone who I had loaned ton's of gold to and never asked for anything in return..said the following to my friend..please not this may not be the exact words..but the jist..

"You need to put the guild ahead of your personal needs"

Anyone that knows me online..knows that for the past 8-9 months I did nothing but put the guilds needs before my own..that goes double for my dear friend..While people were off getting married and finishing school...doing irl stuff ..we were on dealing with the bullcrap..

Said the guy who leveled a toon to 70 in secret so he didnt have to raid with us in BC

The guy who would log off 10 mins before a raid and log back on after it was over..


After talking it over with my close friend I had decided that the time had come to go..

I told the guild that was on that I was leaving..didnt saying anything towards anyone just a thanks and good luck...kicked out all my alts and left.

Then something that I sorta knew would happen...others left..not just a few..but a whole bunch of toons were now standing around me in Dalaran with no guild tag..so what to do?

*Red headed step children* was born lol
It seems that my frustrations with how things had been in mk was shared by a majority of players..as I post this there are people who are about to leave..they are just waiting for the next step..

What is the next step?

A new guild is about to form..call it a rebirth of MK..only with a new name..people that had left us over the past 9 months because of the same issues I had are lining up for the new guild..the majority of MK's leaders have left..some have joing red headed..some formed up a small guild on their own.

The new guid forming soon will focus on fun!

BTW.. On a personal note I want to thank Dora and Drew for their support over the 2+ years I was in MK..my leaving was not a shot at them..Lots of <3 for you both and we will stay in touch..hell I want you both to gquit and join us next week.
Trelic..Sorry that you had to read about it on the website and I am pretty sure had you not been busy with school and such you could have helped put this off a while longer..but I have nothing but respect for you and wish you well and good luck this school year.

Reflections on 3.02

Good day

Long time no new blog:P

Guild news:

The night before 3.02 went live we had 12 players leave MK to start a guild of their own...when that happened we put our action plan in place and removed other members who we felt were bad for morale in the guild.

When we did that..I took the brunt of the hate..which is fine...hate me all you want..but when 80%+ of the members think your an asshat and want you out..and you had treated other members like garbage untill they gquit in the past..it was the right move.

As a follow up to that..the 12 that left all rejoined a few days later LOL


3.02:

Is an awesome patch for the casual's in WoW..like myself..it gives us all the chance to see the content that had eluded us and actually forced us to call off raiding.

Since the patch we have cleared Za on under geared alts..mains and generally been farming gear:)

My mage:
For pvp I really like the burst of arcane..pve in ZA wasnt that great
the new fire spec isnt bad..1200dps in Za overall and 1500 on bosses except Zuljin
Going to try Frost in Za next reset

So..

It has been an eventful couple of weeks since I last blogged..

We downed leo..woot Grats to all:)

We lost our Pali tank to Dominion..I wont go in to a longwinded rant about it except to say that he is gone and we shall progress on ward.

Now his leaving caused some anger in the guild ranks and even though he got the ok from our GM to keep his alts in..they were removed by an officer with the support of other officers..which then led to his Irl friend going on a 15 min rant @ said officer...which I give him credit for not booting him on the spot..

But after hearing about it..I booted him..I will always support my fellow officers..esp since I woulda booted him 5 mins in to his ranting at me lol
He thinks it was bs that I booted him..I dont care..nuff said

Tonight I have the pleasure of going to Za with Sgt and Cryaks grp..They say full clear so I am pumped about it!!

Last night we went and 2 shot alar..showing that we are still a raiding guild..we had 6-8 people there whom had never done the fight and had a 3% wipe on the first try..nicely done MK!!

Then we went and wiped 3 times on solarian and called it a night..3 new people..all blew up the raid lol

Sunday we went and did the 4 bosses we have on farm..it went well..1 shot Lurker, Hydross and we might as well call Tidewalker a 1 shot..only because I knew Lan was going to die lol..But Tommy did awesome on the real attempt:)
FLK was a little rough..but we got him..Grats to Ted for MT'ing him:)

The hunter that wiped us 3 times on Solarian was not invited LOL

Today is reset day..

Leo here we come..Skipping: Hydross/Lurker..so we will do Tidewalker, FLK and then Leo...sure we could do the first 2..but no one ever bids on the items ..plus when we do gruul/mag later on we can take a non core grp to see those bosses:)

Some Drama the past week..

Bloodsky stole our raiding ret pally..seen that from 100 miles away when he ended up on their 3v3 team...the only bad part about it was he called us bad in his ap to them..It did make me LOL irl because that guy dies more than I do on trash in 25 mans..

Lontra one of our Locks..and a transfer pitched a fit about us being in the black temple instead of doing farm bosses..Farm bosses are boring as all heck and no one in the raids were spending any mkp for the drops..so lol at farm..I do farm for badges and gold:P

Well..he Gquit after getting in to a spat with Trey:P

So after much thought..we did a set schedule for raids..we started with TK last night and had a mellow night of screwing around we killed Solarian..it wasnt the A team but we had fun..at least I did:)

We are relearning VR Saturday night..and A'lar..its 2x mkp when we kill VR..incentive

I broke 10k gold..and stopped farming lol..im back down to 9k again..respecs and buying junk lol

Dottie and I should be getting our alts their epics this weekend and maybe Ill get Drew one too:)

Our merry band of raiders went back to SSC last night with hopes of killing a new boss:P

Well we are now 4/6 SSC after a 3 shot of FLK:)

He is sooooo easy..almost had him the first try..2nd try a tank got 1 shot ..3rd try was cake:)

Chaos ..Err..Farm night..err WTF?

Tuesday is reset day as everyone knows..

I thought the plan was to hit SSC and go for FLK after Hydross/Lurker and Tidewalker..But I was wrong

That caused a few issues as most of the core was at SSC when we were being told it was gruul/mag/then ssc..well WTF..everytime I set something up it gets taken over and people get mad..well I was one of the people pissed last night because we are supposed to be going to SSC not farting around with Mag/Gruul..we can do that on the weekend when we can gear up the non raiders or Hell..let them start there own 25 man and leave us out of it...ok almost done ranting:P

We all protest about Gruul and we say ok to Mag..then we wtfwipe 3 times because of real bad luck..DC's and early clicks and a flame patch on a cube that killed the clicker..So we say fuck this and head to SSC..Then the real trouble starts...

I am one of the last people reinvited to the raid for SSC..when I get in its almost full except for the 2 tanks..but there is major problems with ur set up..WHERE THE HELL ARE THE GOOD PLAYERS FROM THE OTHER RAID?

I was fucking pissed that Rob wasnt in the group..Like REALLY PISSED!!! he just transfers back because he couldnt raid with his other guild and then gets WTFPWN'D from the raid he was just in?
After bitching my face off I tell the leader that im stepping for him..except he has DC'd and isnt online..
Rob..that will NEVER happen to you again or ima random boot someone from the raid to get your spot back.

Lisa is an awesome lady and runs the guild well..she just doesnt like to piss people off..well thats my job and I do it quite well..There will be some unhappy people Thursday and I dont give a shit lol

We did end up getting Hydross/Lurker and Tidewalker down..even though we were all dead..yes a wipe with a boss kill:P

So last night we rolled in to SSC to do Tidewalker and Leo..

What we ended up with was 1.5 hours of WoW gremlins lol
Our MT for Tidewalker on 3 attempts had the same problem..his bear wouldnt attack..only auto atack..so that and a double DC from our MT and our Murlock tank = fun and frovility lol
so we got everything fixed and had Blankz attack Tidewalker twice to make sure it worked..it did and boom Tidewalker was dead and I got my mage trinket:)

So..we go to do Leo ...

I port my mage back to shat and jump on my lock..wait 15-20 mins to get an invite and a summon while they are clearing trash to Leo..

Turns out we made a wrong turn at Albuquerque and ended up at Fathom Lord LOL

Ok..so I LOL IRL at that..but what ever..we are MK and decide to try him..
We spent 30 mins while everyone read up and watched videos..I contemplated how to get my mage there and off my fire resist lock lol

We did 2 attemps before we called it for the night..It was fun..we are going back tonight to kill him...when it isnt 1230 in the morning and all our est coasters arent falling a sleep lol

I have my lock in FR gear..303 unbuffed..need bracers and a pali aura to get over 400..So I am ready for Leo the blind..bring it!!

I will be incharge of raid invites...the way it was before

I do not care if I anger players because they cant come...but for the umpteenth time we took folks who have no business being in SSC and the result was 2 wipes and a 10 min 39 sec kill..thats right 39 secs in to enrage on a boss that we usually kill with 2.5 to 3 mins left on the timer:(

What we need is Raydz to transfer back...he can mt and ot with Brindall/Honors and he was at all but one of our progression kills ...WTB Tom back!!!

The other problem...

Why do all our Druids think they are Dottie now? like wtf is that about..our boomkins are resto and one of our drudad tanks Bandarno went resto...I mean come on there is only one Dottie..just like there can only be one Ted and one Drew

So back to Rob the raid leader:(

On a brighter note..Dottie spent some arena points and honor on both Celoria and Super...we ran AB last night and it now takes 4-5 on her at once to kill her on Celoria..cant wait for 2v2 Monday..its going to be crazy lol

Been a while....

Good day all..

Sorry for the long delay on updating the blog:P

Since I last posted..

Tidewalker is Dead (I attended with a fever of 102 and stayed till he died lol)

Doomwalker is Dead...we tried him Sunday but after a 4% wipe we had the horde attacking our healers on the 2nd try..mark of death sucks imo..instant death with in 50 yards of Doomwalker if he kills you..it lasts 15 mins:P

Monday night I threw together a raid that was 32 strong lol..and only 8 healers..they say 16 healers for a 40 man try..we one shot him ..easy easy:P

I went on my lock because of the dots..love the dots
And my lock was #2 on the dps charts LAWL lol

I recruited 5 new members..all who are geared and want to raid..and we added a rogue from another server..attendence shouldnt be an issue..Esp if Tom transfers his ass back..I think some folks quit logging in because he was gone:(

SSC tuesday and TK friday this week..Doomwalker Sunday and Gruul/mag monday..tis the plan:)

Progression is FTW!!!

As many of you know…or may not know I play a mage on the medium population server of “Altar of Storms” a PVP realm that isn’t very far progressed…we have one guild clearing the Black temple and another one about half way through and a 3rd about to hit the temple very soon

The guild I am in….”Mal Katai” is more like a small dysfunctional happy family than a guild lol:P A few weeks ago they made me Lt commander as the regular Lt is tied up in School for the next while:P

People call us a “Casual guild” but that has changed to “Casual raiding Guild” which is awesome….when we do raid (2-3 nights a week) it is done with a hard core approach and it has netted us 3 progression kills in the month of January….awesome imo

One of our core ot’s and his irl friends transferred servers to a more progressed guild/server….that blows…..I already miss Tom, he was truly a nice guy and great player….I did not know his 2 friends that kinda put a gun to his head and made him transfer…but I hope that he isn’t to sad about us killing Lurker the same day he left….

It all started on Saturday night…

A long-term guildie did something he should not have done…at least with out asking first (not asking me...but Lisa should have been asked) and when the other Officers asked about it we were pretty much dismissed and insulted, I can ignore some minor crap so I did and went about my evening, a little later on said guildie brought up the subject again…this time 2 other Officers got involved in the discussion/argument ..it ended with said guildie calling us names and being generally disrespectful.

Sunday morning came and while I was getting ready to go to work one of the other Officers decided to tell me something that did not make me happy, I responded in-kind with a smart ass remark “should we bake him cookies too?”

I then made a board for the fellow Officers expressing my anger and frustration with having someone who doesn’t do anything to help run things telling those that do pull there wait that there are wrong and calling us names to boot:P

Said guildie then proceeds to attack my integrity and even called me incompetent lol
When I log in after work it just grows and grows, I demote all my alts so they cant see o chat , for the sole purpose of not gkicking said guildie, I log on to my main and request it get demoted as well, that causes a crap satorm that I stayed out of for as long as I could…

Then it had to be done…he attacked me again and again …I had taken enough guff from a 15 yr old… “#$%$# has been kicked out of the guild by Raistilan”

I then booted all his alts out as well…

Then one by one….his “clique” g quit

The only one that hurt the guild was another Officer leaving

We will survive…I think we are better off

At least we wont have to listen to him swallowing his mic in vent anymore…or his constant babbling during raids

Friday night raids

Good day all:)

So..We went back to SSC last night..and WTF PWNED Hydross..1 shot ftw!!

After waiting 1.25 hours to get 25 people:P

I will be pushing the guild to add more healers..another resto druid for sure to help take the stress from Dottie..although she IS THE BEST RESTO ON THE SERVER!!!

We took a resto shammy last night..green gear and all...and he did very well imo..Grats Zach:)..he even got an epic totem from the trash:)

Clark got the epic tanking staff from the trash as well:)

The only problem that I have with our Lurker attempts is that we did not use our maint tank..Ted the tankadin..this isnt to say that Lan did poorly..just Ted is our MT and this will be fixed asap or we move to a different boss..our mele pulled from Lan on every try..that doesnt happen with Ted.

It was a fun night ..everyone had fun..Ted got a great upgrade for him to spend his MKP on..Grats man..you earned it:)
